Assignment: You will design 2 different magazine spreads design variations using the article profile you wrote. Same words, different design. Open up InDesign and create a document that is 8.5 x 11 facing pages (this will create a full page spread). Remember to start with a 3 page document so that you can work with a spread of two pages. Next, create a new document.Start with setting the number of pages to 3, the bleed to 2 mm so we have some space for images to overlap, the margins to 10 mm for top and bottom, the inside margin to 13 mm and the outside margin to 20 mm. 3. In your pages window, select the A-Master spread. 4. Now go to the top of you screen and select: layout > margins and columns. 5. Now decide what type of grid you want to work on.
Remember: "gutter" means the space between the columns
